Indices Development for Player’s Performance Evaluation through the Super-SBM Approach in Each Department for All Three Formats of Cricket

Player performance evaluations in all three formats of cricket have been a topic great concern for sports analysts and research experts. This study proposed comprehensive estimation tool that incorporates the essential inputs–outputs evaluates cricketer’s overall performance. introduced different indices player efficiency batting, bowling, fielding. Further, this employed DEA Super-SBM model to evaluate player’s fielding departments formats. The estimates most efficient batsman, bowler, fielder cricketing history by using data international cricketers (1877–2019). results indicate that, compared traditional parameters, are more accurate nature. given, respectively: (i) Sir Bradman, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli; (ii) Muralitharan, Mitchell Starc, Umar Gul; (iii) Saleem Yousuf, Luke Ronchi, Scott Edwards.
